Cultivating your gratitude

It’s all in a thank you. Gratitude and being thankful for what life brings us, might not that be so easy for some of us. My daughter finds it very difficult to be on the receiving side of gratitude, she has an open hand in giving. That’s why I wanted to share how we can cultivate our gratitude.

  • We all at some point in our life reflect on what we have and compare it to others. Sentences such as I should be grateful for ….. turn what we feel from a point of love into an obligation. Look for that something you are truly thankful for and focus on that. Don’t play the comparison game. Reflect on what you have and be thankful for what you can give and what you receive.
  • You are allowed to be thankful for all life’s blessings that come your way, the big and the small. When life gets tough it is hard to be grateful for anything that comes your way. When we are open and mindful even in the difficult times this helps our mind to focus on the positive instead of the negative and help us to look at our challenges differently and sometimes open up new solutions to our problems.

Gratitude comes in all forms. Look out for it today, in all life’s small blessings.
