What happened in the past is past
Your past is past it happened, when you keep thinking about your past you are going to lose your faith in your future. If you keep thinking about the past it is the memories that are going to hold you back and is going to have an impact on how you live in the present.
It’s all the what if’s that get’s a hold of you, what if I did this, what if I did that, what if I said this … my life could have been so different now. That’s a lot of what if’s. When your focus is so centered on the past, it is very difficult to follow your goals and dreams for living in the now and the future. Have you thought about this, when you so live in the past you don’t really have space to allow the goodness of life into your heart.
Have you thought that when you are so focussed on the past and all it’s negative aspects of your past, you forget to focus on all the good things that did happen to you. All the accomplishments you have achieved.
What I want you to think about is to let the hurt and what happened in the past stop controlling you. Have you thought that this has an impact on your happiness if you can only focus on the past, it crushes your confidence and your ability to live your life with joy.
Write down your thoughts. It is always better to have your thoughts written down for a better perspective.
- Journal how different your life would be if you had no “what if’s” in your life.
- Think about what you can take from your past, the lessons you have learned and apply to your life now. These lessons are there to strengthen you and formed you to let you know that you are more than enough now.
- Leave the parts in your past that have now worth behind, you don’t really need it anymore.
